For me, portraits are all one of a kind and special, but it’s not the subject in the image so much as the time in place that makes it special. It doesn’t matter if the image is an unplanned shot or a posed one, it is still a fleeting moment. I use photography to stop time so I can hold on to things or moments longer than my mind is able to.
